Solutions to common issues and error messages

Login Issues

I forgot my password

Click "Forgot password?" on the login page and enter your email. You'll receive a reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam/junk folder if it doesn't arrive. The link expires after 24 hours.

I'm not receiving the password reset email

Check your spam/junk folder first. If it's not there, make sure you're entering the exact email address registered with Grove. Some corporate email filters may block automated emails — ask your IT team to whitelist noreply@grove.hr. You can also try again after a few minutes.

I'm locked out of my account

After multiple failed login attempts, your account may be temporarily locked for security. Wait 15 minutes and try again. If the problem persists, contact your company admin who can reset your password from the admin panel, or email support@grove.hr.

My invitation link has expired

Invitation links expire after 7 days. Ask your company admin to resend the invitation from People > the employee record > "Resend Invite". You'll receive a fresh link by email.

Email & Notifications

I'm not receiving email notifications

Check your spam/junk folder and whitelist noreply@grove.hr. You can also check your notification preferences in Settings > Notifications to make sure email notifications are enabled for the types you want.

I'm getting too many email notifications

Go to Settings > Notifications to customise which events trigger email alerts. You can disable notifications for specific categories like leave approvals, reminders, or system updates while keeping others active.

Common Errors

I see "Seat limit reached" when adding an employee

Your organisation has reached the maximum number of employees for your current plan. Ask your admin to upgrade the plan (Settings > Billing > Manage Billing) or deactivate unused employee accounts to free up seats.

Leave request shows "Overlap detected"

This means another team member has already booked leave for the same dates. Grove warns about overlaps to help with capacity planning. You can still submit the request — your manager will see the overlap warning and decide whether to approve.

File upload failed

Grove supports PDF, Word (.doc, .docx), and image files (.png, .jpg) up to 10MB. Check that your file is one of these types and under the size limit. If you're uploading a scanned document, try reducing the resolution.

Page is loading slowly or not at all

Try refreshing the page (Ctrl+R or Cmd+R). Clear your browser cache if the issue persists. Grove works best on the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. If you're on a corporate network, check with your IT team that grove.hr is not blocked by a firewall.

Browser Compatibility

Which browsers does Grove support?

Grove supports the latest two major versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge. Internet Explorer is not supported. For the best experience, we recommend using Chrome or Firefox.

The page doesn't look right on my device

Grove is fully responsive and works on desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers. If the layout looks broken, try clearing your browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+Delete), disabling browser extensions, or trying a different browser. If the issue persists, email support@grove.hr with a screenshot.
